Easter Seals Nova Scotia

Since 1931 easter seals nova scotia has been a leader in providing support programs information and advocacy on behalf of persons living with disabilities. Our four pillar programs include active inclusive sport activities such as sledge hockey and wheelchair basketball for youth as well as boccia for seniors. Our vocational training and supported employment programs encourage learning work experience and training to transition persons into community-based employment. Our social enterprise activities include food production and small business contracts for our in-house clients learning vocational skills. The recreational overnight camping program we offer provides inclusive and barrier free activities for campers during the summer months. We offer mobility equipment and assistive devices to low-income nova scotians to increase their independence and mobility. Our programs and services support over 5 000 people per year within our province.
