Durham Children's Aid Foundation

'the foundation's mission is to bring people and financial resources together to improve the quality of life for children and youth involved with durham children's aid society. The areas supported by the foundation are services that are not covered by goverment funding. On going programs include: post secondary education program - provides bursaries to assist youth associated with durham cas to attend college university or trade programs; summer camp program - provides subsidies for families receiving services from durham cas where the children remain in the home. Youth are provided with full subsidies to attend a day or residential camp in the summer months; holiday hope program - provides hampers of clothing gifts food and gift vouchers for families in need served by durham cas for the holiday season; ted rogers backpack program - provides children in need with their own backpacks full of supplies and other personal items they may need; port perry couples program - provides funding to offset extra-curricular costs for children/youth; youth mentoring program - provides mentoring to youth associated with durham cas; human trafficking victim support
