Dundas Valley Orchestra

The dundas valley orchestra continues its core commitment of providing three public concerts each year. These concerts are provided at no charge to the audience in accordance with the dvo mission of making music accessible to all. The programming is made possible through the commitment of a number of volunteers. All musicians and board members are volunteers. An annual honorarium is paid to the music director and to the soloists who are featured in concerts. For the past four years the dvo concerts have been live streamed and recorded for greater access to the music by individuals unable to attend concerts in person. The dvo has renewed a focus on being able to offer 'small group' performances. These groups are comprised of members of the orchestra who are looking for additional opportunities to share their music within community spaces. Small groups practice additional repertoire and have flexible configurations based on member availability from performance to performance.
