24 hour a day-7days a week drop-in and referral centre providing drop-in services and counseling to persons facing drug addiction and substance abuse. Included here are: sobriety 12 step meetings safe shelter assessments and referrals to health authority-approved housing shelters detox treatment centers and recovery houses. Bc housing funded street outreach program to assist street entrenched homeless seek and receive shelter social assistance food clothing and medical attention. Saferide program that provides safe transportation for addicts and homeless in the recovery system. Saferide works directly with the vancouver police department and emergency health services.
