Denman Health Centre Society

The society continues to provide office space to support health care services on denman island. Occupants include a family practice medical clinic with 1 full-time family physician island health (the local health authority) allied health care professionals provided by the comox valley primary care network (nurse dietitian pharmacist mental health clinician and a social worker) and a physiotherapist. Hornby denman health care society (a non-profit society providing children and family counselling and home support) now occupies the new separate portable installed in the backyard of the clinic in 2023. A detached storage shed is used to store medical equipment that is provided free of charge to patients. The major capital projects for this fiscal year included: -construction of new walkway and entrance structure into the portable. -installation of a sink into examination room #4. Routine maintenance items included; -parking lot and walkway snow removal and general grading -annual generator maintenance -window and gutter maintenance -lawn mowing yard and garden maintenance -septic system inspection and pump out -hvac inspection and filter replacements -annual door lockset and battery replacements -lighting replacements
