Defence for Children International-Canada (anglophone Section)

Dci-canada works in partnership with young people to provide information and education with regard to the un convention of the rights of the child including an annual lecture presentation at conferences participation in changes to legislation involving children and youth and acting as an intervener on court cases including several at the supreme court of canada. Dci also monitors the implementation of the uncrc in canada. The les horn 'rights in action' award supports young people to develop projects that will address one or more articles of the uncrc and will serve to further the right of children and youth
