Daraja Foundation

Daraja Foundation operates a center called the Flo House in Zanzibar. The Flo House program aims at preventing isolation and marginalization of young adults who are going through a transitional phase when exiting a local children's home from the age of 18 or at times even younger. Transitional residences short-term stays and resource centers are a few of several approaches to help better prepare youth for the challenges of entering adulthood. A transitional house such as Flo House provides access to helpful resources such as education job readiness finance management life skills physical and mental well-being and relational support. Current programs include: youth transition program mentorship program education sponsorships women's empowerment small business empowerment and community projects.
