1. To advance education by providing scholarships bursaries awards and other forms of financial assistance to individuals pursuing education in the field of welding and allied processes. 2. To advance education by providing programs workshops educational materials and equipment related to the field welding joining and allied processes to individuals pursuing education in the field of welding joining and allied processes. 3. To conduct research with respect to welding and allied processes and to disseminate the results of such research. 4. To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom from time to time to qualified donees as defined under the provisions of the income tax act (canada) that advance education and research in the field of welding and allied processes.
