1) we provide english classes for immigrants/refugees (language instruction for newcomers to canada). 2) we provide information and orientation for newcomers to canada. 3) we provide needs assessment and referrals for newcomers to canada. 4) we provide empoyment-related assistance to newcomers to canada. 5) we organize/conduct cultural-sensitivity presentation/training and anti-racism workshops. 6) we offer multi-cultural displays & presentations or workshops at community events and give school presentations. 7) we provide school-based and community youth programming. 8) we assist immigrant families with their settlement by connecting them with the volunteer host families. 9) we coordinate community-engagement events to build cross-cultural relationships through dialogue & activity. 10) we offer settlement support/counselling/interpretation for newcomers to canada. 11) we offer use of computers and other resources for members clients and volunteers. 12) we arrange tutoring for english language learners. 13) we offer support for community members in sponsoring refugees to come to canada. 14) we provide childminding to enable parents to access services.
