Public education (1) exhibitions permanent outdoor exhibits natural history centre heritage garden (2) community outreach - school programs guided interpretive walks educational presentations reading for seniors (3) tourist/visitor information booth archives: (1) collect preserve & catalogue archival materials from cortes organizations & families (2) providing assistance & making available archival materials to researchers & public (3) digitizing the collection in total there were over 4500 hours of volunteer time provided by 147 volunteers. Public education: (1) curated installed and opened two new exhibitions from the ground up; and imagine a forest in trust to the children and 6 off-site pop-up exhibits; (2) community programming included: 2 public talks 2 literary 7 arts and cultural events 13 natural history events 2 guided tours multiple school tours radio interviews and blog posts; total: exhibition visitors-2243 1644 event/programming participants-899 (3) artifact collection-accessioned 89 items archives: received 12 new donations processed 3 fonds into the archives transcribed 8 oral history interviews as part of ongoing oral history project fielded 16 research requests and provided archival material to support the public education program.
