Ongoing programs include development and support of various aspects of infrastructure. Amoung our endeavors we have financially supported schools medical centres and water and other utility improvements. Many of these projects have been shared by local governments although this has usually been limited by challenges of poverty and a lack of trained manpower. The history of our charitable foundation and the project in mozambique was formally initiated in 2018 but actually started informally many years prior. This project became priority based upon our investigation of its conditions and needs. The board felt strongly about helping the people in chipene mozambique. The desperate living conditions and poor quality of life has not changed in the last few years. There were plans in early 2020 to visit this project. Two members of the cor unum africa board of directors started serious discussions to go to mozambique to assess the situation and be amoung the people. Unfortunately a number of natural disasters occurred in the region followed by the covid pandemic and travel plans were put on hold. We are still in waiting mode to visit this project and the local administrators are eagerly awaiting our presence. He new project focuses on the completion of two multi-purpose structures in the village of chipene. The first structure is a 'community hub/centre' where youth can gather in a safe enviroment. There are a number of activities that can be developed here depending on the local leaders and volunteers from other countries. It is the hope of the villagers and it would be ideal that volunteers from abroad will someday bring their expertise in working with youth to this centre.he second structure is a training school complete with dormitory facilities for 60 boys. This facility would include classrooms meeting rooms a kitchen and a space for meals. Future plans call for a similar facility for girls. Unfortunately both str
