Provides friendship and support to those with mental health problems. Recruits trains and matches volunteers to clients. Inform therapists of services as adjunct to already existing treatment. Sensitizes community by promoting better understanding of mental illness. Organizes home visits outings and other activities for members as well as links to community resources. Provide ongoing training and supervision to volunteers including accepting student placements from various educational institutions.
