Compassionate Care Hospice Society (2016)

We continued to facilitate bereavement respite care and compassionate bedside sitting through our Compassionate Care volunteers. -We continued operations of our Hospice Suite for our Town of Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County community members free of charge to use during end stages of life for dying individuals and their family members. Our hospice suite includes meals and professional care for the dying individuals occupying the suite. -We continued our Nav-CARE program. Total current clients: 1 -Facilitated individual free Grief Support to community members -Facilitated 8week grief support groups -Facilitated volunteer 2-day training in community palliative support -We had 29 volunteers and gave approx. 1857.5 volunteer hours Facilitated drop-in grief support walks within community -Created and implemented a Mourning Meals program which involves making and delivering free meals to families who have experienced a death or who are grieving a loss.
