Compass Boussole Akii-Izhinoogan Mental Health Developmental and Community Services for Children Youth and Families

Compass is the lead agency for child and youth mental health for the District of Sudbury-Manitoulin and has provided quality care to approximately 2 000 families annually for more than thirty years within the community. This includes everything from Brief Services to Intensive Mental Health Services. Compass provides mental health developmental and community services for children youth and families including those who have historically faced access barriers such as First Nations Inuit and Métis youth 2SLGBTQIA+ youth Francophone youth immigrant refugee ethnic/cultural minority youth racialized youth and youth with disabilities. Compass is the Lead Agency and provider of intensive mental health services for the District of Sudbury-Manitoulin and provides specialized services for clients with Complex Special Needs such as: · Day Treatment · Trauma Assessment and Treatment · Intensive Child and Family Intervention · Eating Disorders · Youth Justice and · Counseling and Therapy Compass also specializes in providing a host of Child and Youth Worker facilitated group and individual programs including Stop Now and Plan (SNAP) Friends and Triple P Positive Parenting Program. Compass is the Host Agency for the Sudbury Youth Wellness Hub which is a part of a larger network of hubs within Ontario. This program is a comprehensive 'one-stop-shop' designed to bridge the gap in care for individuals aged 12-25. This unique facility addresses a wide range of needs including mental health substance use primary care education employment training housing and various community and social services. Furthermore the Hub offers essential peer services outreach and system navigation assistance.
