About Comox Archives and Museum Society
The Comox Archives and Museum is located in downtown Comox. We provide the community with access to archival and genealogical data artifacts and exhibits showcasing the history of Comox and surrounding area. Our outreach program involves a school education kit to bring the museum into the classrooms. Small classes have also come to the museum for a tour. Along with school tours senior homes and groups also come into the Museum as part of their activity programs. Comox Then and Now Exhibit is continuously enhanced through our mapping project. New maps are displayed in the Museum and on our website. We have families request materials for displays at their family reunions. The Museum is gathering a series of short videos on the history of Comox which are offered within our seating area for individuals and small groups. The videos tell the story of small temporary exhibits such as the Macdonald Wood Park.
