Community Lamda Society

Community lamda society provides independent living support services in affordable apartment-style homes as a foundation for stability and wellness for adults living in calgary who experience mental illness particularly schizophrenia. Staff are onsite in each of the two buildings monday thru friday and offer social leisure educational and skill development activities. Staff provide individual support and group activities. Ongoing programs include advocacy and liaison with mental health case managers family and physicians as well as calgary housing aish and other community agencies. These supports are geared toward individuals with current diagnoses of severe and persistent mental illness whose symptoms have resulted in a signifcant level of disability.
