Community Foundation of the North Okanagan

The Community Foundation of the North Okanagan receives and manages capital contributions in perpetuity and invests this capital so as to generate income. The Foundation distributes a portion of the income in the form of qualifying disbursements to qualified donees pays for operational expenses and retains the remainder of the income to help offset the impact of inflation. The Foundation also receives flow through contributions (as donations from organizations or individuals and from granting programs) that are distributed to qualified donees and non-qualified donees (grantees) either in the current year or as deferred contributions to be distributed in a subsequent year to immediately benefit the charitable sector in our community. The Community Foundation of the North Okanagan continues to offer charitable programs to meet needs in food security and mental health in our community of the North Okanagan region.
