The purpose of the organization is to find a path to a post-carbon caring society by: 1. Undertaking communications education and advocacy activities to foster meaningful discussions informed choices and collective action on environmental issues with a specific focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation. 2. Advancing public understanding of the causes impacts and solutions related to global warming through the development and implementation of educational programs campaigns and initiatives. 3. Undertaking research and innovation projects that contribute to the development and adoption of environmentally sustainable practices and technologies with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting ecosystems. 4. Collaborating with like-minded organizations communities and stakeholders to amplify collective efforts in addressing climate change and promoting environmental stewardship. 5. Performing other functions that are incidental ancillary or conducive to achieving the purposes and exercising the powers of the organization.
