About Collingwood Neighbourhood House Society
Programs include early learning and care (infant to age 12) family place for children and families recreation for children youth adults seniors and families youth leadership peer education and mentorship information and referral health care and promotion settlement services english-as-a-second language education parent education and support groups youth outreach employment support homelessness support and outreach food growing cooking shopping and sharing programs support for seniors to allow them to live independently in their homes as long as possible computer training and health and safety supports for residents businesses and sex workers around the sex trade. As well we support initiatives by residents in the areas of indigenous community development arts and cultural development community safety environment and intercultural community development health promotion support to access housing community planning and visioning literacy food security and food justice cultural connectors and sharing our stories around intercultural neighbourhood development. We provide primary care as well as services from dietitians social workers counsellors physiotherapists community health workers and also health-related programming such as support groups. Last year 268 volunteers logged 31 815 hours of volunteer work for cnh.
