Mandated by the holy father cnewa works for through and with the eastern catholic churches to build up the church alleviate poverty affirm human dignity and inspire hope. Cnewa supports the pastoral mission of the eastern catholic churches and supports their humanitarian mission through initiatives such as: caring for children; caring for marginalized adults; providing emergency support to the displaced and refugees; providing health care programs; and overseeing sustainability programs. Cnewa's mission is also to educate canadians about the history culture and reality of the eastern churches
