Cloyne and District Historical Society

Our society has tried to keep the public up to date with the history of our community. This has been done through the expansion of our presence on flickr. Through the generous donations of family photos and documents we have been able to expand the flickr photo collection to around 2500 items with thousands of viewings per week from all around the world. <https;//www.flickr.com//photos/cdhs/>. In addition to this endeavour our society has been selected as one of three sites in canada to display our museum on the bloomberg connects digital guide site. <https://pioneer.mazinaw.on.ca/digital-guide-to-the-cloyne-pioneer-museum/> this allows our facility to be viewed by folks from around the world. In addition to all this we employed three local students increased our archival library and added 20 new members. Our museum has been approved this summer to take on a museum intern from fleminh college in peterborough. This will aloow our society to revamp and upgrade our museum presentation using this student's expertise. We have planned our usual summer outing for members and local residents where we have visitied other historical sites within a couple of hours from cloyne. We will continue to expand and develop our flickr and bloomberg presence to the world. We again have three summer students who assist in welcoming visitors to our museum. It will be interesting to see if our american visitations are up or down this summer.
