About Citadel Church
1. Public Church Services: Citadel Church has been holding public church services since September 27 2022 at 10 am every Sunday at Johnston Heights Secondary School in Surrey BC. These services will be held primarily to teach the Christian faith and observe its ordinances including but not limited to: preaching from the Bible musical worship baptism the eucharist and children’s ministries. More specifically our mission is to 'help people find Jesus experience life-giving community and discover their purpose.' We are using paid clergy nonclergy employees and volunteers to achieve this goal. Citadel Church utilizes approximately 40 volunteers to achieve its stated objectives. 2. Giving: Citadel Church does not operate for the financial benefit of any members. Indeed funds raised to accomplish the church’s stated objectives will come primarily from its membership. Citadel Church has been donating a minimum of 10% of it’s income to registered charities and mission agencies that are in keeping with its stated objectives of propagating the Christian faith. All giving from members is voluntary in keeping with Biblical teaching. All people are welcome to attend Citadel’s worship services without cost. As part of this giving Citadel Church is actively involved in starting new Christian church congregations in Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. This will be accomplished through our partnership with the Association of Related Churches in Canada based in Surrey British Columbia. ARC Canada is a registered charity who exists for the purpose of propagating the Christian faith via new churches. 3. Neighbourhood Outreach Ministry: Citadel Church has been in partnership with NightShift Street Ministries in Surrey BC. Volunteers from the church's congregation participate one Sunday per month in NightShift's meal program preparing and serving dinner to less fortunate people in Surrey.
