Church of St. John the Evangelist

Worship : we hold weekly services at 10am monthly family services additional services during advent/christmas and lent/easter and occasional evensong services. Ministry : the parish ministers to all in the community through its young adult ministry seniors ministry confirmation weddings funerals and baptismal preparation. The homebound are visited regularly through the parish visitors ministry. Formation and education programs are offered regularly. Music : music is an integral and active part of our ministry both to our parishioners and to the general public. Music events take place in the church approximately twice monthly. Fellowship : regular opportunities for fellowship occur weekly and at other times of the year. Memorial garden : the memorial garden is a licensed scattering garden and also a place for quiet meditation and reflection diocese of huron : st john's is a member parish of the diocese of huron. We support the activities of the diocese through our monthly apportionment payments as well as cooperating and other anglican churches in our deanery to support the resettlement of refugees families. The parish is actively engaged in supporting the primate's world relief and development fund a program of the national church. Community kitchen : through its licensed kitchen our community kitchen prepares weekly meals for and teaches cooking skills and classes to marginalized people in the community. Anglican church women (acw) are an active group who oversee and organize various charitable and outreach programs. Volunteers : approximately 60 people are involved in various volunteer opportunities in the parish.
