Chinmaya Mission Halton

The mian objective of the chinmaya mission is to spread the knowledge of hinduism andd vedanta to anyone of any walk of life to aid them in becoming positive contributors to society. Ongoing programs include weekly classes for children youth and adults to drive this cause. For children confidence and pride in their culture and heritage is fostered through summer camps singing and chanting ompetitions and more. For youth mentorship initiatives are implemented for them to take leadership roles in children's activities. And for adults study groups are undertaken to ensure full family learning and allowing parents to become role models for their children. Physical and mental wellness are also important aspects in the organization through yoga and guided meditation classes respectively. In addition to these reoccurring programs special events for festivals and holidays allow the community to get together to celebrate. On occasion guest speakers will also take seminars and lectures forr various age groups. All of these events develop a sense of community and togetherness.
