Children's Treatment Centre of Chatham Kent

The centre focuses on the needs of children and youth from birth to age 21 with physical developmental and communication needs. Core rehabilitation services include physiotherapy occupational therapy speech language therapy preschool speech and language program infant hearing program therapeutic recreation pool therapy music therapy audiology medical clinics child developmental and orthopedic clinics respite services and family support services including social work and family engagement / mentoring. The centre offers multiple recreational programs; swimming lessons family swimming sledge hockey adaptive skating baseball lifeskills dance and music tailored to the needs of the children. The centre is the coordinating agency for service co-ordination services and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder services. The centre also provides audiology services for individuals of all ages. The centre is the provider for school based rehabilitation services. The centre is also contracted with mcmaster children’s hospital to provide autism diagnostic services. The centre is the lead agency in the chatham-kent windsor-essex and sarnia-lambton region for th ontario ustism program (oap) entry to school program a service provider for the oap urgent response and oap caregiver mediated early years (c-mey) programs. The centre offers a skills development program for clients with special needs in order to give them experience in the workforce the centre is also in the process of designing a new building.
