Family and children's services niagara provides mandated child welfare services to the niagara region include:the investigation of the possible abuse or neglect of children; children protection services; foster care; adoption services; counseling; support services; preparation for independence program for youth leaving home. Additional facs provides voluntary/community programs including; child care services; family counseling centre; family violence programs; child abuse programs; adult protective services program; volunteer program; summer camp; recreation and enrichment; and bursary programs for post secondary education.
