Cdi is a multi-service charitable organization that offers early years and childcare services mental health and counselling services and programs that address gender-based violence. Unified under one agency cdi's diverse programming focuses on improving the mental health and well-being of children and youth ages 0 to 18. Cdi's programs and services are guided by a strengths-based approach providing child-centric and family- focused programming to ensure that everyone receives the tailored support and tools they need to build life-long skills positive mental health and resilience. Programs include childcare services family and group counseling social emotional and behavioural counselling services drop-in parent/child programs school-based treatment programs children's social skills groups consultation to childcare centres regarding children with special needs trauma-informed counseling transitional and housing supports for women and children who have experienced gender-based violence. In 2023-24 cdi served 4 792 children and youth through its toronto-based clinical services and early years and child care services. Of clients who completed treatment through cdi's ontario ministry of health-funded clinical services more then 85% reported positive outcomes at discharge and expressed satisfaction with services received. While cdi is currently developing new programs to pilot future years no new programs have been offered in 2023-24.
