About Charlford House Society for Women
Offers safe short-term accommodations and programs for adult women entering into recovery from alcohol and drug addiction; holds daily group counselling sessions provides individual counselling on an as-needed basis and has staff on site 24/7; offers peer counselling and mentorship; provides information about and acts as a liaison for other community resources. Services include on-site doctor for weekly appointments; programs include music therapy yoga meditation 12-step written work and first nations integration. Accommodations include (minimum) 90-day residential treatment 2nd stage transitional housing (with a full complement of programs and recreational activities) and sober living. Aftercare is provided through weekly online relapse prevention meetings and an open-door policy ensuring our women always have a safe place to come back to and call home. Family support is also offered through weekly in-person or zoom meetings. Monthly hybrid alumnae meetings weekly in-house psychiatrist appointments for our clients art therapy online music therapy sessions for our alumnae
