New program 'Pen of the Soul': This program was focused on aiding seniors in the community feel less isolated. Through the 'Pen of the Soul' program - with the assistance of volunteers seniors were able to participate in gatherings geared to them and learn Jewish melodies create new friendships and gain Religious support. This program assisted many community members in their wellbeing and practice. Increased Religious after school programs: We have increased our Hebrew/Jewish after school program to include a program every day of the week and for a wider range of ages. Mikvah: One of the basic needs of a Jewish community is a Mikvah i.e. Ritual bath for people to purify themselves. Currently the closest Mikvah is a 1hr drive from Barrie. As result many families are not able to keep this sacred ritual. We have continued the Mikvah project with the goal of building a local Mikvah for the community to use.
