Centreville Community Hall Association

The centreville community hall association provides an accessible centrally facility fully furnished for the use of various community groups; centreville good neighbour club girl guides 50 plus club centreville & district development association centreville park association pins&needles and various church groups. We have a phone and internet hook-up as well as a difibrillator for use of the hall and emt's as needed. We donate 1/2 of td trust fund to the park regularly after we receive a request. The centreville good neighbour club is our main fund raiser and their sub group supplies quilts to those who need comfort. Rental by community members and the government functions provide a source of income. We completed the replacement of the back steps and added grad bars the cellar way had to be done as water was getting into the basement and creating mold.....then the water tank sprung a leak and the 1950 piston pump couldn't be repaired ( that bill will come in the new year est $2500. We have had to do a lot of repairs and replacements to for the facility. 1. We are looking at installing a closet that wil be be more accessible for storage of our table extensions and look at a trolly so there is less lifting. 3. We are reviewing insurance policies since a large expense is insurance. 4. We may have to look into hiring a janitor as our group gets older and age is catching up with us. Not sure what this will cost and involve. 5. A heat pump or a way to heat the basement should be looked at.
