About Centre for Suicide Prevention 2005
Centre for Suicide Prevention (CSP) continued delivering a variety of education workshops to equip participants with information knowledge and skills necessary to respond to people considering suicide. CSP also develops evidence-based resources and accessibility to suicide prevention research to create awareness; in addition to offering awareness campaigns such as Run for Life and Buddy Up. Centre for Suicide Prevention began working towards offering a Respite Home in Calgary funded by the City of Calgary to provide respite care for people experiencing a deterioration in their mental health and/or suicide crisis through a short-term stay. CSP also provide support as a backbone organization in partnership with other not-for-profits to enable Survivors of Suicide Loss Day to continue. CSP has expanded its reach through the Buddy Up Campaign to begin offering skills training to participants from organizations engaged with the Campaign.
