Centre Communautaire De Lavigne

The centre communautaire de lavigne (ccl) was founded in 1977 with a mission to promote recreational athletic cultural as well as communityservices for the community of lavigne and surrounding area. The ccl'sobjectives are: to promote social cultural sports and athletic activities; to promote other civic and community services; to receive to acquire andretain donations and bequests. The ccl supports the village of lavigne and area a historical francophone community located on the northwest bay oflake nipissing in northeastern ontario. Economic activity in lavigne focuses primarily on tourism and agriculture with the majority of activityrelated to tourist resorts and camps outfi tters and agricultural activities. The ccl facilities are available to rent for meetings and occasions and other functions. The community boasts many assets such as the caisse populaire waterfront park located on the shores of lake nipissing. This waterfront park was developed over a 10-year period by the ccl and community minded volunteers and partners. The ccl is responsible to manage and maintain the waterfront park. All members of the board of directors of the ccl arevolunteers and they work wogether to fulfi ll the ccl's mission and objectives.working cooperatively year long the volunteer board of directors works to ensure the proper and effi cient operation and maintenance of the centre communautaire de lavigne and associated grounds. The ccl facilities are available to rent for meetings and occasions and other functions. Developments include: completion of multi-use park and playground the board of directors along with community volunteers also organizes events and programming for the community and responds to the needs of the community of lavigne and area.
