About Cancer Assistance Program of Hamilton
The Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) provides free services for individuals affected by cancer living in the greater Hamilton region & surrounding communities. Services fall into 6 categories: 1) transportation to & from cancer related medical appointments; 2) access to parking close to the Juravinski Cancer Centre; 3) loans of home health equipment; 4) personal care and comfort products; 5) Drive 2 Deliver Program which provides a free contactless delivery of nutritional supplements personal care products & medical equipment; 6) educational podcasts. Services are practical in nature & intended to create access & remove barriers to cancer care & improve day to day quality of life. There are six (6) full time equivalent staff & over 180 volunteers involved in all aspects of the organization & ultimately responsible for service delivery.
