Canadian TANGO2 Rare Disease Foundation

The Canadian TANGO2 Rare Disease Foundation was in its second year and was continuing to evolve evolving its website and continued to submit grant proposals. The Foundation was unsuccessful at receiving a grant but was able to start to produce income through fundraising activities. It was the second year since first inception so refined its Governance and operating guidelines completed meetings applied for grants and worked on trying to organize around initiatives for raising funds. The Foundation actively engaged in family support 'in kind' through volunteer hours supporting new Canadian families with newly diagnosed children with TANGO2. Family support and outreach increased as new Canadian families were diagnosed. The foundation also worked on a family guide package that will be distributed to families to assist in crises management communication to medical and other interested individuals about the disease. During the year cost was volunteer hours with expenses for formal printing of the guidebook occurring after year end. We also set up a monthly giving program.
