Education awareness / journey to a cure video series csro is contunuously developing and updating the csro website to help and provide the sci community with the necessary tools to learn about their injury the research that is being conducted to find a cure and to provide resources and opportunities to become advocates. This includes csros journey to a cure video series which explains the biology of the spine what happens at the site of injury and goes into current sci research. Research csro continues to play an integral role in bringing a neuromodulation study to canada. This restorative technology has shown to improve autonomic functions including cardiovascular bladder bowel and sexual function for those living with sci. The canadian study will focus on two types of neuromodulation transccutaneous stimulation and epidural stimulation. Safe4sport prevention platform the goal of the safe4sports prevention platform is to generate awareness education and prevention of brain and spinal cord injuries (neurotrauma) in hockey amongst children who play organized or recreational hockey in canada as well as the extended hockey community. The goal of the platform is to instill the three main pillars in all youth hockey players: awareness action and attitude. Our vision is to equip minor hockey players with the knowledge and skills that may prevent a hockey related spinal cord injury or neurotrauma injuries. To help create and disseminate the sci research advocacy course. It is an online learning course designed to educate people with spinal cord injuries to become better advocates in sci research.
