Assisting victims of crime in obtaining services and accessing resources. Working with all levels of government to provide submissions presentations information and recommendations in respect of the interests of victims of crime. Conducting workshops and presentations in respect of the issues affecting victims of crime. Acting as a resource centre of victims of crime conducting research in the field of victimology in order to offer quality resource materials to victims of crime service workers across canada and the public. Liaising between victims of crime and various police services and associations which provide assistance and support to victims of crime. Promoting and enhancing the interaction and exchange of information and perspective among agencies and groups within the canadian criminal justice system and the international victim services community and providing long-term support and assistance to the next of kin of fallen officers in canada and coordinating events for families attending the annual canadian and peace officers ' memorial service to honour their fallen loved ones.
