Mission : we grow the arts to build our community and enrich our lives. Vision: a bow valley in which all residents engage in the arts and appreciate creativity as vital part of their daily lives. The canadian mountain arts foundation ( cmaf) operates artsplace the bow valley’s only community -based and community-focused arts centre. With its expertise in arts programming cmaf is uniquely able to give bow valley residents a hands-on intimate experience of the arts and creativity. By providing an outlet for personal expression artistic inspiration and creative community conversation artsplace enhances quality of life and makes canmore and bow valley a more vibrant diverse and liveable place arts place offers arts-based courses workshops and children’s and youth-based camps: gallery exhibitions liver performance : films and other screening . Other annual activities include the presentation of the lic lewis band festival ( alberta’s largest non-competitive high school band festival ). The canmore festival of art and creativity ( canmore’s free celebration of the arts and creativity over the alberta culture days weekend) and outreach and free programming for school seniors francophones indigenous communities young families as we as low income individuals and families core programming mandate remains consistent but specific programs change on seasonal and annual basis.
