Canadian mental health association toronto (cmha toronto) is the city's leading community mental health agency. We provide accessible quality care for people in toronto through programs research and advocacy. From supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis to providing tools that support day-to-day mental ealth when people need support toronto we're here to help create belonging and hope. Cmha toronto is incorporated under the ontario not-for-profit corporations act and as a registered charity under the income tax act. Cmha toronto receives funding from individual and corporate donors; all levels of government; and foundations including the united way of greater toronto. Recovery-oriented programs and services: these programs accessed by people with severe mental illness are disigned to address the factors that impact mental health including housing access to education social and community connections financial stability (including employment) and access to primary care. They reduce unequal access to care by being culturally responsive accessible and inclusive to the needs to all torontonians. Thses programs help clients and their families access different supports as their needs change. Our programs include the toronto community crisis service; safe beds; family outreach and response; routes community centre; and housing first. (70%) mental health promotion: through community-based workshops resources and programs we champion the importance of mental health and build skills for people to live more mentally healthy lives. This work helps everyone develop the skills they need to create and maintain safe living and working environments. (10%) research and advocacy: we use our influence research capacity and experience to drive systemic change and relentlessly pursue a mental health and addictions care system that is accessible to everyone. (20%)
