About Canadian Mental Health Association B.C. Division
CMHA BC Division strives to develop and provide quality services and supports for those living with mental illness and/or addiction and promote mental health for all British Columbians. As a provincial organization we (a) deliver mental health and substance use training and educational programs via publications workshops and innovative projects; (b) conduct mental health and substance use public policy dialogue and development; (c) provide information referral and system navigation; and (d) offer direct supported self-management programs. In addition we partner with a federation of 14 separately incorporated CMHA branches across BC building capacity as they develop and deliver programs that help their local communities. Our ongoing province-wide programs include Bounce Back Living Life to the Full Confident Parents: Thriving Kids Employment Services Bursaries and Scholarships Workplace Mental Health and Campus Mental Health. Our newer programs include supporting communities to launch mobile community crisis response teams facilitating quality improvements in care for people in suicidal crisis across the provincial health system building capacity in substance use supported treatment and recovery services and addressing the psychosocial impacts of climate change and wildfires.
