Early intervention program - support to children with deafblindness in bc birth to 5 yrs. Deafblind consultants met with families and professional teams to introduce them to the world of deafblindness and guide them in supporting their child to develop their true potential. Intervention program: deafblind intervention support for children/youth in bc 2-19 yrs who are deafblind. Program runs during spring summer and winter school breaks so that they may interact more fully with their environment. Summer recreation program: opportunities during summer months for our members to explore activities/venues. Virtual recreation program: seasonal online craft activities offered to families including singing and sharing; craft supplies mailed to each child's home - youth transition program: support to youth and deafblindness their families and professional teams undergoing transition planning in preparation for adult living; transition meetings support for representation agreements path facilitation and deafblind intervention training of staff in adult agencies. Intervenor training: online training modules offered resulting in a certificate of completion from cdba national deafblind awareness month activities - community buildings throughout bc were lit in blue for awareness of national deafblind awareness month. Squares were knitted to yarn-bomb community items/venues and provincial and community proclamations were made.
