Canadian Chopin Society

Continued work to build awareness of the Canadian Chopin Society through website updates expanded social media presence (including the CCS Virtual Music Library and Discussion Forum) e-mail updates to members and membership drive. Participation in live events with partner organizations ( Mississauga Polish Day John Paul II Polish Cultural Centre in Mississauga Chopin Unknown at Glenn Gould Studio). Continued planning and preparation for the Sixth Canadian Chopin Piano Competition in 2024-25. Expansion of the Canadian Chopin Piano Competition to include a Virtual Preliminary Round held online from October 17-25 2024. This resulted in a larger number of participants than ever before with a total of 138 applicants from across Canada in three divisions: Junior Intermediate and Senior.
