About Canadian Centre for Food and Ecology
The charity executed its inaugural program Flavour Harvest with the objective to advance education about the benefits of growing food in living soil for both environmental and human health. Using taste as a driver the immersive workshop experience targeted young families and employed the early childhood education strategy of play-based learning to draw connections between soil health and nutrient density and biodiversity. The program included the development of educational materials in the form of a family-friendly story called 'Bille's Carrot Quest' to educate the audience about the importance of personal food choices.
