About Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians
The main purpose of the Association is to improve and promote emergency health services in Canada. It does this through: providing research grants in emergency medicine; provide grants to resident doctors in their studies to become emergency physicians; Organize medical education seminars as part of CAPE's continuing medical education (CME); Editing printing and distributing national medical journal known as CJEM (Canadian Journal of Emergency Physicians); Editing printing and distributing pocket cards and manuals to emergency physicians in the application of clinical procedures; Organizing an annual conference of emergency physicians for the promotion of professional development; Arranging for internal committees and projects that review clinical practice promotes continued medical education and advanced patient care professional development bioethics and standards.
