To provide leadership and foster collaboration to advance excellence in graduate education research and scholarship; to organize an annual conference that provides deans administrators and graduate students with an opportunity to identify and discuss issues touching on graduate studies on the national level; to produce best practice papers and working and discussion papers that provide guidance to deans administrators and graduate or prospective students; to undertake an annual competition for the best thesis in each of the humanities and social sciences and administrators that helps to share best practices and to promote the environment for successful post doctoral scholarship and training.
