Camp Awakening Incorporated

Camp awakening provides overnight summer camp leadership development and adapted outdoor recreation programs for youth with physical disabilities at three locations acrossontario. Camp awakening programs give youth 8-29 years the opportunity to gain independence make lasting friendships develop confidence foster a love of the outdoors andaccomplish things that they never thought possible. During 2023 the board of directors approved to end the organization's camp programming at the end of the 2023 camp season and subsequently wind up the organization's operations. The corporation entered into a gift agreement(dated january 25 2024) with amici children's camp charity to transfer remaining assets. On february 29 2024 the voluntary dissolution of the corporation has been authorized by the directors and members and the corporation is proceeding with the necessary steps to finalize the dissolution under the not-for-profit corporations act 2010 (ontario).
