Calgary Firefighters Toy Association

Calgary Firefighters annual Christmas party for under-privileged children in the City of Calgary. Invitations are sent to 1 800 families each year. Each child who attends receives 2 gifts and a visit from Santa. Each family who needs it also receives a free Christmas tree. Throughout the year Lotteries are held and participants can contribute / purchase tickets for a chance to win pre-determined payouts. Deposits are tracked to ensure they are used on eligible charitable activities approved by the AGLC. The charity also files the required reports for the AGLC on an annual basis to account for the lottery proceeds. The Calgary Firefighters Toy Association website also the ability for interested parties to directly donate to the charity via pay pal.
