Calgary Crime Stoppers Association

Crime stoppers is a community media and police cooperative program designed to involve the general public in the fight against crime. Crime stoppers provides individuals with an opportunity to anonymously report to the police information about a crime or a potential crime. A reward of up to $ 2 000 is offered to anyone providing information anonymously which leads to an arrest and/or the recovery of the stolen property or a seizure of illegal drugs and firearms. Continuation of the existing and ongoing programs with an emphasis on crimes targeting vulnerable seniors and promoting visibility and awareness amongst the new immigrant communities. Strategic priorities for the current year : 1. Community resilience and mental health 2. Organized property rime disruption 3. Community wide fraud prevention 4. Newcomer safety & rights protection 5. Youth violence & exploitation prevention
