Caledon Agricultural Society

Caledon agricultural society carried out its ongoing charitable programs by presenting the 2024 caledon fair. We held homecraft and livestock competitions including beef and dair show welsh pony sanction show (to accumulate points towards breed championships and to enter animals at the royal winter fair heavy horse demonstration canadian horse (cheval canadien) horse show small livestock interactions pony rides truck and tractor pull demolition derby homecraft competitions and entertainment. We also presented a full canada day celebration this year with agricultural produce available for purchase live entertainment including the fort york re-enactors strawberries and pancakes and an antique car show. Our many volunteers logged hundreds of hours preparing for the events setting up displays fencing tables and chairs cooking running events and competitions and interacting with the many local and visiting attendees at both events. Caledon agricultural society continues to plan and fundraise to build a new community center in caledon village. This weill benefit out youth with sporting opportunities seniors for physical and social action and involvement service groups meeting space social opportunities such as weddings banquets business displays and provide space for the agricultural society competitions meetings and displays. It is one of the society's purposes to enhance the quality of life in the community and our close ties to the community have indicated that this is one way that the society can support the physical mental and emotional health of caledon.
