Burnaby Retired Teachers' Scholarship and Bursary

The foundation was established to provide scholarships for post secondary study. At present a $1 000 scholarship is awarded to a student at each of the eight secondary schools in burnaby bc. A student receiving an award has two years to claim and award. The funds are raised primarily by donations from retired burnaby teachers. The foundation also received specifically directed funds from a former burnaby school district teacher. These funds provide eight scholarships of $3 000 for former burnaby district students enrolled in a british columbia university studying for an education degree.
