In addition the Charity organized or took part in the following festivals which are part of the Buddhist or Burmese culture: Blessing Ceremony on International New Year Day Ovada Patimauk Day Dabaung Festival Burmese New Year Water Festival. Buddha Day (Vesak Day) Mahasamaya Day Waso Robe Offering Metta Akhadaw Day Abhidhamma Day (Paying respect to Elders) Sangha Pavarana Day Lighting Festival Kathina Robe Offering. Frequent services: Performance of last rites to the deceased. Blessing ceremonies for marriages and new-borns. Visiting sick elders at their homes and provide spiritual guidance offer blessings. Occasional services: Novice monk ordination ceremony. Combined religious talks on the Dhamma to international students from Myanmar. Engagement and information session with students and faculty from University of Toronto on Buddhism. Dhamma talks delivered by visiting Burmese Buddhist monks from overseas.
